Palm Sunday is filled with celebration — but Luke’s Gospel reveals a deeper tension beneath the joy.

As Jesus enters Jerusalem, the crowds welcome Him as King and proclaim peace. Yet Jesus weeps over a city that does not understand what truly makes for peace. In Luke 19:28–44, we see a people who celebrate Jesus while misunderstanding the kind of King He is and the kind of peace He brings.

This message invites us to examine our expectations of Jesus and to discover the difference between peace from problems and peace with God — a peace secured through the cross and carried with us into hardship.

The peace of God doesn’t take away problems, but equips us to fulfill God’s purpose in the midst of problems.
