It’s easy to feel like a spectator in the Christian life—like there's someone more qualified - and we might as well sit on the sidelines.

Though sin, death, and shame have distorted our purpose and separated us from God, Jesus entered fully into our humanity, suffered death in our place, and fulfilled what we could not. We do not have to be benchwarmers or spectators.

By becoming human and suffering death, Jesus restores what sin, death, and shame had taken—our destiny, our dignity, and our place in God’s family.
