Ready to Obey

Not even a couple of weeks after the resurrection of Jesus, Simon Peter, John and some of the other Disciples have left Jerusalem and just went back to their jobs fishing. It would seem like they have already given up - but maybe there's more to the story - maybe these men were there waiting for Jesus - waiting and ready. Then Jesus shows up and Peter's reaction tells us everything we need to know.

Being faithful to God's call on your life has less to do with your plans to do ministry than it has to do with your posture of obedience. When Jesus shows up in your life, will you jump out of the boat and swim to where he is?
