Beacon Partnership

Committed to Christ - Connected to His church

At Calvary Green Valley Ranch, all are welcome—come as you are. We are committed to being a place for EVERYONE to have an authentic encounter with Jesus. There are no special requirements to belong to our fellowship. Jesus meets you where you are and invites you to “come and see” what He is doing, to experience His love and learn from Him.  That will never change.

Why Beacon Partnership?

We value your voice and participation. Beacon Partners enjoy greater access to resources, care, and opportunities for input, while committing to be a part of the ministry and life of Caolvary GVR.  Beacon Partnership is not about creating status—it’s about deepening commitment and relationship. While anyone can worship, grow, and serve with us, Beacon Partners choose to: affirm our Statement of Faith and walk in accountability, stewardship, and service. This partnership helps foster transparency and healthy engagement between church leadership and the congregation, while keeping Christ at the center

FAQ

Do I need to become a Beacon Partner in order to continue attending Calvary Green Valley?
No. Scripture does not give us a method for how believers are to commit to their local church it only tells us that we must (Heb. 10:24-25; Rom. 12:4-5; Eph. 4:11-16). All are welcome to fellowship, to worship, to give and serve as the Lord puts on their hearts.  But for those who wish to be part of the greater vision and mission and the work that God is doing in and through this body of believers, partnership is the best way to do that.  If you are not sure - we encourage you to take your time - pray - hear from the Lord...  don't be hasty in commiting to us if you aren't sure.  But if you are sure about the Lord, if you consider yourself a member of this body, and you are called to this mission, we encourage you to commit and partner with us.
Do we need to take the beacon classes if we just want to be a member or can we just sign the agreement?
No -  The class is not a requirement. Partners will be required to sign the agreement saying they are willing to abide by our "ministry expectations", "statement of faith" and that they are willing to meet membership standards like regular participation, spiritual accountability, faithful serving, & giving. Before you sign that you need to be familiar with what is expected and what you are signing up for.  It is highly encouraged for you to attend a class or review the recording before signing the agreement.
Will Beacon Partners vote on congregational business and church decisions?
Yes and No .... Yes the leadership MAY survey our Beacon Partners in certain matters at the board's discretion as they feel led of the Lord to do so. We believe it is wise, when discering the will of the Lord, to hear from those who He has called you to lead. However, there is no requirement for a vote on any matter and all congregational feedback is considered purely advisory. We remain committed to a Pastor/Elder led model in which our board lays all matters before the Lord through prayer and fasting in order to discern His will for the congregation.
Can Beacon Partners request access to important financial documentation (such as cash flow, operating expenses, giving, account balances & ministry budgets) and governance documentation (like board meeting minutes, memos, ministry descriptions etc.)?
Yes -  transparency in these kinds of matters is part of the goal of Beacon Partnership. With the caveat that sensitive or confidential information will still remain confidential  - we won't share Info regarding individual donor giving numbers, specific benevolence requests - specifics on staff salaries or expenditures - issues of discipline or counseling & restoration, or any other confidential or sensitive information obtained through the course of ministry.

We feel that commited members of the church in good status should be informed about the state of the church. Going forward, we will be scheduling periodic meetings (open to our Beacon Partners) to give summaries on that sort of information at least annually.  We also intend to publish some kind of quarterly update on key factors for our Beacon partners. But we can also accommodate reasonable special requests.
