Why are we drawn to drift back to the very things God once rescued us from—old patterns, old comforts, and misplaced allegiances. As Joshua gives his final address to Israel, he warns them that compromise begins quietly and often leads to binding our lives to what pulls us away from God.

But Christ has rescued us out of a broken culture, we must choose—again and again—to cling to Him rather than bind our lives to what pulls us away from God.
