Raising the Javelin

After restoring Joshua and the nation of Israel, God leads them in a decisive and public victory over the very enemies who had previously defeated them. Joshua’s raised javelin, the smoke of the burning city, and the two heaps left behind serve as visible markers of obedience, judgment, and redemption.
The victory we have in Christ is not meant to be quiet or hidden—it is meant to be lived out in bold, visible obedience that puts His glory on display and invites others to follow.
